In the final book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation, Jesus Christ sends seven powerful messages to seven Christian communities in Asia Minor—the western region of modern-day Turkey. These letters, recorded by the Apostle John around 95 A.D., were addressed to the churches of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Thyatira, Philadelphia and Laodicea (Revelation 1–3).
The Seven Churches represent more than historical congregations—they symbolize spiritual conditions that still exist in the Church today. Their stories speak to believers across the ages: courage in persecution, faith in hardship, vigilance against falsehood, and the call to rekindle a living love for Christ.
These letters remind us that the Church, in every age, is called to faithfulness, purity, and perseverance.
Walking among the ruins of these ancient cities brings Scripture to life. Standing in the Theater of Ephesus, the Acropolis of Pergamum, or the ancient streets of Laodicea Laodicea, travelers can see how the early believers lived their faith in a world of challenge and change.
Our Seven Churches Tour retraces this remarkable journey through the heart of biblical Asia Minor — offering both a spiritual pilgrimage and a vivid encounter with the living Word.
Each of these seven cities was a real place with a real congregation in the first century. Together, they formed a spiritual network along the main Roman postal route across western Asia Minor — a region that was then one of the most vibrant centers of early Christianity.
Ephesus – The church known for its hard work and perseverance, yet reminded to return to its first love.
Smyrna (İzmir) – The persecuted church, praised for its faithfulness even in suffering.
Pergamum (Bergama) – The faithful church living “where Satan’s throne is,” yet warned against false teaching.
Thyatira (Akhisar) – Commended for love and service, but urged to resist corruption and immorality.
Sardis (Sart) – A once-lively church called to wake up and strengthen what remains.
Philadelphia (Alaşehir) – The church of endurance, promised an open door that no one can shut.
Laodicea (Denizli) – The lukewarm church, urged to renew its zeal and spiritual vision.
